According to locals and police sources, the relationship between Adhir Sikder and Moon Rani Majumdar lasted for more than a year. However, the family members of the two were not willing to accept this. Again both are students. The girl was not an adult. All in all, the relationship between the two could not lead to marriage. In this situation, both Adhir and Moon went missing from home on Tuesday night.
The family members could not find them even after searching a lot. This morning, Adhir’s body was found hanging from a tree in Majumdarpara of the village with a sari wrapped around his neck. The body of Moon Rani Majumdar was lying under that tree. Seeing the surrounding situation, the locals and the police think that he has committed suicide by hanging himself. And Moon committed suicide by drinking poison.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Police Station Syed Lutfar Rahman said police recovered the bodies of the two. The bodies have been sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur for autopsy. Initial investigation revealed that the matter was a suicide. A case of unnatural death is being prepared at the police station.
