According to a press release issued by the Department of Health, 9 lakh 71 thousand 44 people have recovered so far after being infected with corona. 9,704 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, the highest number of 57 people have died in Dhaka division. 38 people died in Khulna division. 32 people died in Chittagong division. The rest are from other departments. Of the 185 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours, 98 were men and 85 were women.
In the first two weeks of this month, all restrictions were observed to control corona infection in the country. During this time all types of offices as well as public transport were closed. This restriction has been relaxed for eight days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Markets, shopping malls and shops have opened. Public transport is also running. However, strict restrictions have been imposed again from next Friday morning. The lockdown will last for two weeks.

The first corona infection was detected in Bangladesh on March 8 last year. Since then, the infection has been less at different times, but for more than a month, the situation in the country has reached alarming levels. In the country, daily infections and deaths from corona delta have multiplied several times.
