Russia has claimed that the Sputnik V corona vaccine is being approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). All obstacles to getting the company registered have already been removed. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said the vaccine would be approved only after a little work was done. He gave such information on Saturday, local time. News Reuters.Advertising
The Sputnik V vaccine is being widely used in Russia to prevent coronary heart disease. The vaccine has also been approved in more than 70 countries around the world. Sputnik V is currently being reviewed by the WHO and the European Medicines Agency (ASA). The coronavirus vaccine is expected to be approved in more countries if approved by companies.
Health Minister Murashko has met with WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Gebreasus in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss Sputnik V. Russia’s Interfax news agency quoted him as saying that the WHO had been informed of Russia’s position on the registration of the Sputnik V-Ticker. The country has answered all the questions of the organization.
Mikhail Murashko said only a handful of documents were left to be signed by the organization working on it to get WHO approval. Apart from this, some more related papers have to be submitted.
However, Russia did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Sputnik V-Ticker, Reuters reported.
Earlier in July, the WHO reviewed the Sputnik V vaccine. At that time, the company objected to some issues related to the production of the vaccine. Sputnik Veer producers later said they had solved all the problems mentioned by the United Nations.
