A total of 790,000 doses of Corona vaccine will arrive in the country from Germany on Saturday. The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given this information.
The ministry’s public relations department said the vaccines were scheduled to arrive at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon. The German Ambassador to Bangladesh will be present at the airport to receive the vaccine. Besides, senior secretary of health department Lokman Hossain Mia will also be present. According to the BSS, 5 crore 2 lakh 45 thousand 255 doses of corona vaccine have been administered in the country till Thursday. 3 crore 33 lakh 25 thousand 6 people have been vaccinated with the first dose. The second dose of 1 crore 69 lakh 20 thousand 248 people have been vaccinated.
So far, 1 crore 79 lakh 96 thousand 246 males have received the first dose of vaccine. And 1 crore 53 lakh 26 thousand 60 women. Of the second dose vaccine recipients, 97 lakh 7 thousand 85 are males. And 72 lakh 32 thousand 573 women.
Of these, 1 crore 29 lakh 55 thousand 60 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine Covishield have been applied. Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine has been administered in 1 lakh 90 thousand 955 doses. 3 crore 19 lakh 98 thousand 419 doses of Chinese synopharma vaccine have been administered. And modern vaccine has been applied 51 lakh 611 doses.
According to the Department of Health, 4 crore 90 lakh 6 thousand 728 people have registered for corona vaccine till 5:30 pm on Thursday. Of these, 4 crore 64 lakh 45 thousand 243 people have registered with national identity card number and 6 lakh 42 thousand 485 people have registered with passport number.
