Richmond Champion Sat Out the Rest of the Season with a Neck Injury

Richmond Champion sidelined the rest of the season with neck injury

Seven-time Wrangler National Tests Rodeo rated bareback rider Richmond Champion suffered an injury that will see him miss the remainder of the 2022 ProRodeo season.

Champion exclaimed on social media that recent MRI results showed he has an oppressively bulging cut on his neck that is compressing his spinal cord.

The buckaroo from Stevensville, Mont., will suffer from a cervical emulsion on April 1.

“A full recovery is anticipated and I am in good spirits,” Championship said in an Instagram post. “I’m looking forward to getting back to the sport I love in 2023.”
