The 2022 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Teton Ridge returns to Las Vegas for the second year in a row to crown a world champion this November and tickets are on sale now.
This year’s event produced by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) will be held at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center on November 29-30.
General admission tickets are $30 per day, with reserve admission tickets available for $45 per day. Tickets can be purchased online at southpointarena.com or ticketmaster.com, by phone at 866-796-7111, or at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa Box Office. Tickets are electronic unless purchased at the box office or otherwise specified online or by phone.
The event will start every day at 2 p.m. (PST) with doors opening at 1 p.m. daily. Parking at the South Point Hotel and Casino is FREE.
“We’re excited that tickets are now on sale for the Wrangler Breakaway Roping National Finals and encourage everyone to get your tickets today and come out and support these ladies,” said WPRA President Jimmie Munroe. “We look forward to showcasing our best ladies at South Point Arena and recognizing our 2022 WPRA Breakaway Roper World Champion.”
The top 15 escaped ropers as of September 30 will compete for $250,000 prize money over two days and 10 rounds. Martha Angelone, who will be making her third NFBR appearance, will lead the way as the No. 1 roper and seek her first world title. She was the reserve world champion in 2020, the first year the NFBR was held in Arlington, Texas.
The South Point has long been known as Vegas Cowboy Central between Thanksgiving and Christmas and is now expanding that footprint to also be known as Vegas Cowgirl Central. NFBR fans can also take advantage of the current room and ticket package offered by South Point Hotel and Casino. The package includes a two-night stay: November 29-30 in a deluxe room and two general admission tickets to both NFBR performances. The bundle costs $299 and can only be purchased by calling 866-796-7111 and mentioning offer code BREAKPK. Please note that these rooms cannot be extended after November 30th.
“We are excited to welcome the ladies of the WPRA and their fans to the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center for this world championship event,” said Ryan Growney, general manager of the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. “This will be an exciting event to kick off all the NFR festivities, as there is no faster event in rodeo than breaking the rope.”
The 2020 Breakaway Roping National Finals were held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas in conjunction with the NFR, and Jackie Crawford was crowned world champion. In 2021, the NFBR was held in Las Vegas at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and was won by Sawyer Gilbert.
