Camila Espinoza and Catalina Olguín became the winners of the thirteenth version of the National Women’s Rodeo Championship, which was held this weekend at the San Vicente de Tagua Tagua bullring.
The representatives of the Paine and Talagante Sur Poniente associations, riding Armonioso and Connotado, won the National Women’s Championship with 19 good points (6+3+2+8).
Second place went to the team of Paola Lembach and Marjorie Espinoza (Maipo Norte and Santiago), who totaled 18 good points (3+2+6+7) on the backs of Espectáculo and Renaico.
Third place, in a tiebreaker, went to Josefina Jorquera and Constanza Ureta (San Vicente Association) in Empeño and Escandalosa, with 17 good points (8+0+3+6) +7. Fourth place went to Romané Soto and Alejandra Barros (O’Higgins Association) in Agallado and Granuja with 17 (6+4+2+5) +2.
The Breed Seal and the Movement to the Reins of the National Women’s Rodeo
The Breed Seal of the XIII National Women’s Rodeo Championship went to the mare Agua Turbia (Santa Bernardita de Romeral Breeding Center), ridden by Marta Hernández (Talca Oriente Association).
In the Reining Movement, the winner was Marta Hernández (Talca Oriente Association). Riding Santa Bernardita de Romeral Agua Turbia, she earned 37 points.
Pony Horses at the National Women’s Rodeo Championship
The Women’s National Rodeo Series was also held. The winners were Carlos Durán and Dominga Aguilera (Nogales Association). Perverso and Cauteloso earned 21 points (11+10).
Elizardo Miranda and Luca Lantadilla (El Libertador Association) finished second in Heredero and El Cabezal with 20 (11+9). José Domingo Huenchul and Antonia Huenchul (Colchagua Association) finished third in No Te Arrebates and Carpincho with 18 (6+12).
